How we name our cows

At Ma Vache à Dorer, each handcrafted toy is far more than a simple object, it is a work of art in its own right, with its own personality. To reinforce this sense of uniqueness, we choose to give each of our cows its own name. This approach is inspired by an age-old custom found around the world, giving each animal a name, following a simple yet elegant rule.

A universal tradition

In many parts of the world, it is customary to name animals according to a designated letter for each year. We have adopted this tradition for our gilded cows, as a way of honouring this universal practice and adding a personal, symbolic touch to each creation.
